On behalf of the committee, we’d like to remind our members of our core values whilst out on group runs
Please ensure you are visible so your run leader can see you. We advise wearing hi vis garments (which we have many for sale if you need some) and in the darker months, you must wear lights to be allowed to run with us.
Please ensure if you get to the next meeting point before the rest of the pack, you loop to the tail bee, so everyone can have the same amount of rest time at the next pause, and we don’t demotivate people at the back.
Consider the group you are currently in. Are you always one of the first to finish? Then perhaps you need to move up. We can buddy and support any members nervous to go up. If you are concerned about pace, just speak to any one of the committee or group leaders.
All running groups need to ensure the first aid kit is picked up from the Bees box before they set out. Royston has it behind the bar if it isn’t out when you arrive. Any member can wear it.
All groups need to have a Lead bee at the front and a Tail bee at the back to ensure pace and safety is consistent. We ask no one pass the lead bee and all runners are in visible sight of and in front of the tail bee. The Lead bee and Tail bee need to wear the labelled hi vis bibs stored in the box behind the bar. The roles should be shared out between your group each week.
